Bohemian Visions creates private, cinematic couples portraits that capture the connection, chemistry and story the two of you share right now. Every experience is customized around your relationship, comfort level and vision, whether you want the photographs to feel romantic, playful, sensual, editorial or boldly intimate.
You do not need modeling experience or any idea how to pose. Marie guides both partners through every movement, hand placement, expression and interaction so the photographs feel natural to you, not like a performance for the camera.
Couples boudoir creates space to step away from everyday responsibilities and focus entirely on each other. Your session is customized around your relationship, comfort level, and shared vision. With complete guidance from posing to facial expressions, you can relax, reconnect, and create cinematic artwork that honors who you are together right now.
Bohemian Visions welcomes couples across ages, body types, gender identities, sexual orientations and relationship stages. The studio is woman-owned, veteran-owned and LGBTQ+ inclusive.
You do not need to look like the couples you have seen in advertising. You do not need matching body types, conventional gender roles or a relationship that fits someone else’s definition of romance.
The experience is customized to your relationship. Your boundaries, pronouns, preferred language and individual comfort will be respected throughout the process.
A couples boudoir session is not about pretending to be someone else or manufacturing a version of intimacy that does not belong to you.
It is about slowing down long enough to see what daily life can make easy to overlook: the way you look at each other, the comfort built through shared history, the playfulness that still lives beneath the routine and the chemistry that cannot be duplicated by another couple.
The experience is designed to honor your relationship as it exists today. Not after life becomes less busy. Not after either of you changes your body. Not after the next anniversary. Now.
Together, we create photographs that preserve more than how you looked. They preserve how this chapter of your relationship felt.
The experience begins with a conversation. We discuss your vision, relationship dynamic, desired level of intimacy, privacy preferences, wardrobe, artwork and individual boundaries. Both partners have space to ask questions and express what does or does not feel comfortable.
Professional hair and makeup are included and tailored to the look you choose. Styling can feel polished and natural, glamorous, dramatic or anywhere in between. Any additional grooming or styling needs for either partner can be discussed during planning.
You will receive guidance for both partners so your looks feel connected without appearing overly matched. The Bohemian Visions Client Closet is available where sizing and style are appropriate, and you may also bring pieces that feel personal to your relationship.
Your session can move through multiple environments inside our private Richmond studio. Depending on your vision, we may use the library, bedroom, fireplace, shower, swing, copper tub or other custom-designed spaces to create a varied and cinematic body of work.
You are not expected to arrive knowing what to do. Marie directs posture, hand placement, movement, eye line, facial expression and how the two of you interact. The guidance is precise without making the experience feel rigid.
After the photography portion of your experience, you will return for a private same-day reveal. You will see your photographs together, select your favorites and choose how you want to preserve them through edited digital images, custom albums and wall art.
The same-day reveal is a viewing and ordering appointment. Final retouched artwork is delivered according to the production timeline for the products you select.
Intimate portraiture requires trust. At Bohemian Visions, consent is not treated as a formality. It is part of the planning, direction and experience from beginning to end.
Both partners must know about and consent to the session. Couples boudoir cannot be booked as a surprise for an unaware partner.
Each partner may communicate personal boundaries before and during the session.
You will never be pressured to wear less, reveal more or attempt a pose that falls outside your comfort level.
Physical interaction remains within the boundaries discussed with both partners.
This is a professionally directed photography session. Sexual activity does not take place during the session.
Your images are private and are not shared publicly without the appropriate written permission.
The strongest photographs do not come from pressure. They come from two people who feel respected, prepared and free to be present with each other.
Couples boudoir does not have one required look.
