Boudoir does not have one personality.

Your photographs can feel elegant, sensual, romantic, bold, playful, mysterious, cinematic, intimate, or completely unexpected. You do not have to perform someone else’s idea of confidence or sensuality.

During the consultation, we will talk about the emotions and energy you want your portraits to hold. This becomes the foundation for your styling, wardrobe, lighting, studio sets, and creative direction.

What Makes You Nervous?

Feeling nervous before a boudoir experience is normal.

Clients often worry that they will not know how to pose, will feel awkward in front of the camera, will dislike part of their body, or will not look like the people they see in professional photographs.

You are not expected to know how to pose. Marie guides your body positioning, hands, facial expressions, and movement throughout the session. Professional hair and makeup, wardrobe guidance, intentional lighting, and detailed posing direction are built into the experience so that you are never left wondering what to do.

The consultation gives you space to discuss those concerns privately and receive honest answers before making a decision.

Your Preferred Style, Wardrobe, and Studio Sets

Bohemian Visions offers approximately 14–16 immersive sets inside our private Richmond studio, including our library, copper soaking tub, oversized shower, floating garden, swing, fireplace living room, canopy bed, and other distinct spaces.

We will discuss which environments fit your personality and vision. You can also ask questions about lingerie, dresses, bodysuits, robes, sheets, implied nudity, everyday clothing, or alternatives if traditional lingerie does not feel authentic to you.

Clients receive access to our curated Client Closet and guidance on what to bring. Your wardrobe should support the story we are creating, not make you feel as though you are wearing a costume.

Privacy, Consent, and Image Sharing

Privacy is one of the most important parts of an intimate portrait experience.

During your consultation, you may ask how your photographs are stored, whether they will be shared publicly, and what control you have over image use. Your comfort and consent matter throughout the entire process.

You are never required to give Bohemian Visions permission to publish your portraits. If you choose to allow selected images to be shared, we will discuss that separately and clearly.

For couples sessions, both partners must be aware of and consent to the experience. A couples boudoir session is not planned as a surprise for an uninformed partner.

How Much Does a Bohemian Visions Boudoir Experience Cost?

The minimum investment for a Bohemian Visions boudoir experience is $3,499.

The $3,499 prepayment is required to book and reserve your session date. It is not a $500 session fee or a separate retainer added on top of the minimum experience.

Your minimum experience includes:

• Professional hair and makeup
• Personalized session planning
• Access to our curated Client Closet
• A fully guided photography session
• Professional posing and expression coaching
• Access to our private Richmond studio and its immersive sets
• A same-day image reveal
• 15 professionally retouched digital images

Additional images, custom albums, and wall art are available for clients who want to build a larger finished collection.

How Long Does a Boudoir Consultation Take?

Consultation length can vary depending on your questions and the type of experience you are considering. The conversation is focused and personal, with enough time to discuss your motivation, vision, concerns, investment, and next steps without making you feel rushed.

If you are planning a couples, bridal, maternity, or highly customized session, we may spend additional time discussing timing, creative direction, privacy, and important details specific to that experience.

On the day of your session, your full experience includes professional hair and makeup, expert posing direction, your guided photography session, and a same-day reveal where you will view your portraits and choose any desired upgrades or additional artwork.
